We are spoilt living at Redlands as we have some excellent country pubs and restaurants within easy reach. Our nearest pub, The Farmers Arms in Combe Florey is thoroughly recommended, offering a good variety of food in a traditional pub atmosphere. The energetic can walk there by track and quiet country lane in 20 minutes. Just two miles away is The Rising Sun in West Bagborough offering a high standard of cuisine in a rebuilt old village pub. Also two miles away is The Blue Ball at Triscombe which has won several awards for food. Offering a similar high standard of cuisine is Podshavers Barn, a well hidden small country restaurant just over 3 miles away. All these venues are very popular and it is always advisable to book, particularly at weekends.
